Works very well, and let me get rid of a couple older thermometers which used almost-impossible-to-find button bateries. Having two AAA batteries is a big plus on feeling like this will have better longevity than the older ones. Being non-contact & rapid reading is also a big improvement on the oral thermometers we had been using.

The display and battery life have no problem, but the accuracy of the temperature is not always right. I guess it may depend on the distance or what part of the forehead you are holding it for. But the numbers would not be completely off — treat it more like a range.

Very happy with this purchase. Displays temperature less than 2 seconds. It is accurate based on my normal temperature and also when I ran a brief low fever post surgery. Very handy a quick check. Easy to use. Completion tone isn’t annoying. Seems durable enough.

I’m really have this device in the house. I almost hesitated to buy this device because of the one star reviews I read. Thank goodness I decided to give it a try anyway. I think a lot of those bad reviews are from people that did not bother to read the little manual that came with it. There were a lot of mentions about erratic results. I’m guessing most of those people didn’t know you should not be carrying the device around in your hand for long periods of time (multiple minutes). In the booklet it explains that this devices sensor is very sensitive and the warmth from your hands can affect your results. Most of the time the effects will be small. But if you leave this device laying in the sun shine for a while or some how warm the device itself up. It can throw off the results. And they go on to explain why if you take multiple reading one right after the other why you will not get the same reading every time. But it will be so close as to be irrelevant.
[...]I’ve had a couple electronic oral thermometers that I hated. I have service connected hearing loss and couldn’t hear one of them that beeped, and it was slow. And the other used one of those dime sized batteries and it should have been set up to be belt fed. It went through batteries like crazy.
So this device has been a refreshing experience. I’m a retired combat medic and ER RN. And the results from this device are accurate enough for the home. And you’ll love it if you have kids. All you have to do is slow them down long enough to get a clear look at their forehead and push the button. You see a green light for 1 to 2 seconds. And you get a result.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this device to anyone. Just take five minutes and sit down with the little booklet that comes with it. Then you’ll understand all you know.

I am not lying when I say I have tried no less then 10 different thermometers like this kind over the years Not just from Amazon but a lot of sites. We bought both name brands like Braun and non brand name ones. None of them worked for any period of time or worked at all or were at times not even accurate. I only purchased this meaning to send down to my daughter in law because my grand baby was going to be having surgery and she has to keep a record before and after of her temps if any but I honestly didn’t have much hope that this would work and she would have to use the dreaded old fashioned kind. I got this and held out hope that I put the 2 batteries in correctly ends up I found this is so easy to use and I was so happy it worked. I used it over a 3 day period on myself and my husband, also on Items around us and even the dog and cats and it was all appropriate to what the under the tongue one showed. YEAH we have a winner. I gave it to my DIl and she was so thankful because there is nothing worse than having to stick a thermometer where the sun don’t shine on a little sick child. Plus its a nice color pink which matches her bedroom. It’s accurate, is easy to store in its original box that it was sent in is sensitive enough to pick up a high or low fever, is easy and comfy to use and depending on the amounts of time you use it that will show what the battery life will be. We are all happy with this purchase.

It has meaningful instruction written in proper English. Better than I can write after using computers so long.
It comes with quality shrink wrap and a QC seal.
My forehead temperature was 97.8 which seems about right and the temperature of the wall next to my new thermostat matched the thermostat.
It has easy to use memory, body and house modes.
